A scenario fragment for Liminal Horror

Ten years ago the Misfits were students at Saint Cassian’s Boarding School. They talked shit, argued, dated, broke up, copied each other’s homework - spent time with each other during those awkward in-between years. After graduation, they drifted apart. Fancy new technology like Email and Social Media made it easier than ever to keep in touch, but whenever they thought about picking up the phone, they would remember that thing (you know the one - everyone has that thing they did as a teenager). So they made their excuses. I’ll call them later, I’m tired. I’ll Send them a card next Christmas.

And, of course, they would also remember Kaitlyn.

She vanished midway through senior year - and each of the Misfits thinks they are responsible. All of them had a deeply private, deeply personal falling out just days before her disappearance.

Since then, they’ve moved on with their lives; Gotten jobs, a degree, a spouse, a therapist. Maybe what happened to Kaitlyn still haunts them - maybe their adult responsibilities keep them from dwelling on it.

Now, each of them has received a message from her - calling them back to the ruins of Saint Cassian’s. She says she wants to see them one last time.
